Genoa introduced Portland to the cuisine of northern Italy with a two-hour long, seven-course, prix fixe meal experience.

Genoa quickly earned a reputation as one of Portland’s premiere fine dining establishments. Simply put, it was the place for special occasions. The menu maintained its elaborate seven-course format until November 2008.

From the beginning, Genoa sought out the finest, freshest local ingredients. The superb classic cuisine launched the careers of local star chefs, like former co-owner Cathy Whims, John Taboada, Tommy Habetz and Kevin Gibson. Today, Chef David Anderson embraces the commitment to excellence on which Genoa was built. He has combined Genoa’s recipes with his own inspiration and experience to design an updated, five-course menu.
